The demo:
When the demo launches press "r" to restart and fix the menu glitch. On the first level, get killed by the first enemy to fix the camera issues. You move with arrow keys or WASD. You throw the knife with left click.
About:
Skog is Skywares newest and still in-work game. The game is an action platformer where the hero has a knife he can trow at his enimies to slay them. The game is going to be focusing on norwegian folk fairytales with trolls and such, thats the reason behind the name "skog" wich means forest in norwegian.
Release date:
The game is supposed to be released in september 2019 on windows and will later be ported to android and browser.

I love the music and art. Consider adding sound effects to a few actions/events, or all of them. Sound effects really add to a game, no matter what kind of sound they are.
Also, it could just be me, but I didn't find a chest at all in the first level, and the second level just had me start with a knife. Another thing to mention is that it felt a little misleading how you couldn't climb up ladders.
I'm curious to see where this game goes, I think it'll definitely feel better with a little more polishing, keep at it!
Hey thanks for the review! it is wierd with the chest not spawning... havent seen that problem before, it shoud be just at the start with a "Q" letter over it. when clicking, instead of throwing dagger.
Don't know if this is browser dependent or something that got borked while updating the crates.
edit: turned out to be a loading glitch. (it takes a little too long to load in all the code)
happy it fixed itself!
it would be better if the game waited until it's fully loaded/initialized before starting gameplay
stuck in second area with crates, key platform one tile too high to jump on with out crate collision

Thank you for the heads up. The Demo is now updated with crate collisions!
The game has many glitches, but that is expected when the game isn't done. I rally like the art and i think this can be a good game if you just fix the glitches.
